Child abuse suspect sought
Police want to speak with a Logan man who is believed to have appeared at a Navajo Nation police agency Wednesday morning with a dead child. Mychal Denny, 23, was supposed to meet Department of Child and Family Services officials and Logan police detectives at the Logan Regional Hospital Tuesday afternoon, where his son was to be examined for possible child abuse. When Denny missed the appointment, however, police asked agencies throughout Utah to help them find the man, as local officials believed he fled the area. At about 10 a.m. Wednesday, Logan police received a call from the police department in Kayenta, Ariz., which is a small town in the Navajo Nation. Police there said a man matching Denny's description was in their office and had a dead child with him, Logan Police Capt.
