Beach father charged with child abuse

Police arrested James C. Holden, 22, of South Clubhouse Road after investigating why his six-month-old child was having trouble breathing Wednesday morning. The child was taken to the hospital and then transferred to Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters. Police said doctors found that the child had severe injuries that didn't appear to have been caused by an accident. The child is being treated in the pediatric intensive care unit. .
